Elizabeth J. Welsh

During her 23-year career, Liz has worked on over 1,000 communications programs for Fortune 500 corporations, national associations, political campaigns and small businesses.  Her successes have been recognized with such awards as 17 American Association of Political Consultants’ National Pollie Awards for Best Direct Contact Campaign for various grassroots efforts and an International Association of Business Communicators and Public Relations Society of America’s Landmark of Excellence Award of Merit for overall government relations communications program.  Campaigns and Elections Magazine named Welsh a national “Rising Star” in 1995 and in January of 2001, Liz and Executive Communications were honored in the first annual Inc.credible Awards with the prestigious Crow Chizek Award for Woman-Owned Business of the Year.  In March of 2005, the Louisville KY Chapter of the National Association of Woman Business Owners named Welsh Woman Business Owner of the Year.

Liz has served on the Board of Directors of Inc.Tank, the Chamber of Commerce’s company that encourages the growth and development of small businesses, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Louisville Sports Commission and of the American Association of Political Consultants, a bi-partisan organization that promotes ethical conduct and raises the standards of practice in political consultation.  Welsh has served on the speakers bureaus for Campaigns and Elections Magazine, the Public Affairs Council, the American Association of Political Consultants, the American Council of Life Insurers, The Employers Council on Flexible Compensation and the Washington Area State Relations Group among others.  Welsh has authored articles for Campaigns and Elections Magazine, The Politea and the Public Affairs Council’s how-to manual, Winning at the Grassroots.  Executive Communications has been featured in Campaigns and Elections, The Courier Journal, Business First and Ventures Magazines.

Liz is an avid golfer, musician and songwriter, and plays guitar with The Lucky Penny Band and the Praise Team at Middletown Christian Church.  Words to live by:  "Things happen exactly the way they are supposed to."

Lisa Cates

An original founding principal of Executive Communications, Lisa initially served the organization as executive in charge of operations and later with a role in sales and marketing.  In addition Lisa has championed the company's outreach efforts to positively impact our community and make a difference in our world.  As such, Lisa is currently serving as a loaned executive to Middletown Christian Church where she leads as the Director of External Missions.
 
Lisa brings Executive Communications an extensive background in program development, marketing strategy and coordination. She formerly served as Director of Program Management for a DC based political communications consultancy, coordinator for MasterCard International Sister Cities Cup (an international youth soccer tournament), The Women 4 Women festival (Louisville), Baptist Hospital’s Center for Health Promotion, Oasis Center, Inc. (which works to help young people overcome serious challenges that prevent them from transitioning into a healthy adulthood) and Safe Place Services (Nashville, TN).   Additionally, Lisa spent a year serving  in the Office of Mayor Jerry Abramson on Special Events and Development. 

Heavily involved in community service, Lisa has served on the national Board of Advisors for Safe Place Services, was their national Grassroots Coordinator in 2001, and chaired their National Conference in 2000.  Lisa was awarded the YMCA of Louisville's Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in 1997.  She continues to volunteer her time and talents for a number of not-for-profit organizations and currently serves as a committee chair for public policy for the Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners leading the fight for such causes as a state recognized certification for Woman Owned Businesses as well as leading NAWBO in the charge against a prevailing wage initiative which would have been damaging to minority- and women-owned businesses.  Lisa also serves on the board of the Greater Louisville Sports Commission.

On a personal note, Lisa is a single-digit handicapper on the links, enjoys working in her yard and is an accomplished percussionist, having recorded with a number of well known artists in Nashville.  She continues to play drums with the praise band at Middletown Christian Church in Louisville.

Amy S. Broadhurst
Vice President, General Manager 

Amy serves as Executive Communications' Vice President and General Manager.  In this capacity she leads the executive team and is responsible for the day to day general management of the business as well as working with the President to set strategic direction, develop goals and execute the growth plans for the organization.

In addition to general management of the firm, Amy is responsible for leadership of Executive Communications' political advocacy division.  With a focus on grassroots lobbying and legislative influence, ECI serves clients from the energy, manufacturing, retail, health care and insurance industries, among others.  Under Amy's leadership Executive Communications earned a number of its National Pollie awards for campaigns conducted on National and State issues.

Prior to joining ECI Amy was National Accounts Manager, Manager of Project Management and Installation and a Senior Project manager in the material handling industry, working primarily with Fortune 100 companies throughout the US and abroad. 

Outside ECI, Amy stays busy with church, family, flower gardening, cake decorating, home decor, sewing (yes, she puts Martha Stewart to shame!) and spending time with her favorite dog, Buddy!  Amy's motto:  "I never feel pressured to BE the best, just to DO the best with what I have!"

Stacey WalkerStacey Walker
Operations Supervisor/Trainer

Born and raised in southern Indiana, Stacey is a natural talker.  She began her career in sales, borne out of a love of conversation.  She was a natural fit when she came to ECI in early 2008 as a temporary call associate.  She joined the ECI team full time shortly thereafter, and has excelled ever since.  Stacey quickly learned every facet of the business and has shown a great deal of initiative in leading our expert team of call associates.

Most recently, Stacey was promoted to lead trainer, in charge of guiding each new employee into their careers at ECI.  Stacey is the first face of ECI for most of our employees, and does a wonderful job communicating the overall goals and culture of the organization.  Her breadth of knowledge and intimate familiarity with all of our clients' projects make her an invaluable resource to ECI and a wonderful member of the team.  She makes sure our projects are on target, our associates are on message and our company is successful.

Over 18 years of broad corporate, consulting and coaching experience.  Rachel has a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of business, where she has held leadership/management roles with several Fortune 100 companies as well as an international organization.   Rachel has consulted with many Fortune 500 companies as well as leading universities and applies her broad business experience and coaching skills to help business owners, executives and key managers, achieve maximum results. 
Rachel received her B.S. with majors in Finance and Operations Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and her M.B.A. from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.  Ms. Butler is certified as a Chief Training Officer from American Society of Training & Development.  Additional certifications include: Certified Business Coach, Certified Facilitator, Dale Carnegie, Win/Win Negotiating, Train-the-Trainer, Statistical Methods for Improving Performance (Concourse), Process Mapping, and DDI. 

On a personal note Rachel has been married 19 years, has two daughters, coaches Quick Recall, and is an active school volunteer.
