Elizabeth J. Welsh
President
During her 23-year career, Liz has worked on over 1,000 communications programs for Fortune 500 corporations, national associations, political campaigns and small businesses. Her successes have been recognized with such awards as 17 American Association of Political Consultants’ National Pollie Awards for Best Direct Contact Campaign for various grassroots efforts and an International Association of Business Communicators and Public Relations Society of America’s Landmark of Excellence Award of Merit for overall government relations communications program. Campaigns and Elections Magazine named Welsh a national “Rising Star” in 1995 and in January of 2001, Liz and Executive Communications were honored in the first annual Inc.credible Awards with the prestigious Crow Chizek Award for Woman-Owned Business of the Year. In March of 2005, the Louisville KY Chapter of the National Association of Woman Business Owners named Welsh Woman Business Owner of the Year.
Liz has served on the Board of Directors of Inc.Tank, the Chamber of Commerce’s company that encourages the growth and development of small businesses, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Louisville Sports Commission and of the American Association of Political Consultants, a bi-partisan organization that promotes ethical conduct and raises the standards of practice in political consultation. Welsh has served on the speakers bureaus for Campaigns and Elections Magazine, the Public Affairs Council, the American Association of Political Consultants, the American Council of Life Insurers, The Employers Council on Flexible Compensation and the Washington Area State Relations Group among others. Welsh has authored articles for Campaigns and Elections Magazine, The Politea and the Public Affairs Council’s how-to manual, Winning at the Grassroots. Executive Communications has been featured in Campaigns and Elections, The Courier Journal, Business First and Ventures Magazines.
Liz is an avid golfer, musician and songwriter, and plays guitar with The Lucky Penny Band and the Praise Team at Middletown Christian Church. Words to live by: "Things happen exactly the way they are supposed to."

Amy Broadhurst
Vice President, General Manager
Amy serves as Executive Communications' Vice President and General Manager. In this capacity she leads the executive team and is responsible for the day to day general management of the business as well as working with the President to set strategic direction, develop goals and execute the growth plans for the organization.
In addition to general management of the firm, Amy is responsible for leadership of Executive Communications' political advocacy division. With a focus on grassroots lobbying and legislative influence, ECI serves clients from the energy, manufacturing, retail, health care and insurance industries, among others. Under Amy's leadership Executive Communications earned a number of its National Pollie awards for campaigns conducted on National and State issues.
Prior to joining ECI Amy was National Accounts Manager, Manager of Project Management and Installation and a Senior Project manager in the material handling industry, working primarily with Fortune 100 companies throughout the US and abroad.
Outside ECI, Amy stays busy with church, family, flower gardening, cake decorating, home decor, sewing (yes, she puts Martha Stewart to shame!) and spending time with her favorite dog, Buddy! Amy's motto: "I never feel pressured to BE the best, just to DO the best with what I have!"

Lisa Cates
Director, Sales and Marketing
An original founding principal of Executive Communications, Lisa returns to Executive Communications as Director of Sales and Marketing after a year of working in the Office of the Mayor on Special Events and Development.
Lisa brings Executive Communications an extensive background in program development, marketing strategy and coordination. She formerly served as Director of Program Management for a DC based political communications consultancy, coordinator for MasterCard International Sister Cities Cup (an international youth soccer tournament), The Women 4 Women festival (Louisville), Baptist Hospital’s Center for Health Promotion, Oasis Center, Inc. (which works to help young people overcome serious challenges that prevent them from transitioning into a healthy adulthood) and Safe Place Services (Nashville, TN).
Heavily involved in community service, Lisa has served on the national Board of Advisors for Safe Place Services, was their national Grassroots Coordinator in 2001, and chaired their National Conference in 2000. Lisa was awarded the YMCA of Louisville's Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in 1997. She continues to volunteer her time and talents for a number of not-for-profit organizations and currently serves as a committee chair for public policy for the Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
On a personal note, Lisa is a single-digit handicapper on the links, enjoys working in her yard and is an accomplished percussionist, having recorded with a number of well known artists in Nashville. She continues to play drums with the praise band at Middletown Christian Church in Louisville.

Diana Isaacs
Director, Finance
Diana recently joined the ECI team on a full-time basis, after having worked with us as a self-employed contract accountant for the past two years. Diana has over 30 years of experience in accounting, with time spent in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. She brings with her a strong work ethic, knowledge of accounting principles/practices and an enthusiasm for being an integral part of a business that continues to grow and develop.
Diana enjoys reading, working crosswords, gardening and swimming. She and her husband love travel, entertaining friends and family and watching what seems to be a constant parade of wildlife through their yard.

Sarah LaTourette
Client Services Manager
Sarah graduated from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 2006 with a BA in both Political Science and History. Following college, Sarah served as the Executive Director of her county Republican Party during the 2006 elections. Sarah moved to Louisville in December 2006, and joined Executive Communications the following February.
While not at work, Sarah’s interests include baking, sewing, and playing the piano. She also enjoys a good book, traveling, and spending time with her family (including her many pets).

Scott Kayser
Fulfillment Manager
Scott earned his BA from Miami University in Oxford, OH with a double-major in political science and history. After college, Scott moved to Cleveland to work on a congressional campaign before moving to Louisville and joining ECI in early 2007. Scott keeps everything on track in our fulfillment department, coordinating and tracking letter writing programs as well as all other personalized direct mail campaigns. His meticulous attention to detail creates success for our clients.
Scott enjoys reading, woodworking, photography, and spending time with his fiancée and their three pets.

Megan Stewart
Client Services Assistant
Megan graduated from Millikin University in 2006 with a BS in Elementary Education. She also has a minor in music and an emphasis in literature and gender studies. Megan recently moved to the Louisville area from just outside Chicago, Illinois, and joined ECI as a writer and researcher, helping with our personalized letter writing programs that we conduct as part of our legislative advocacy work. She has now been promoted to an assistant in our client services division.
When around Megan you will soon find out that she loves animals, and will save the tiniest of spiders from their death. She also enjoys reading, music, food, kids and traveling.

Megan McClain
Operations Assistant
Megan earned her BA in English from the University of Louisville in 2007, after which she came on board with Executive Communications. She began her work here as a writer and has since been promoted to Operations Assistant where she coordinates and edits data for the Market Research Team among others. Megan brings her incredible attention to detail and passion for learning to help ECI's operations run smoothly.
Megan is settling into married life having recently tied the knot and spending her honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico. She enjoys spending a warm day in the sun with a fishing pole and a cold creek. You can also find her reading or working word puzzles.

On a personal note Rachel has been married 19 years, has two daughters, coaches Quick Recall, and is an active school volunteer.
